When it comes to Mexican food for breakfast, you may think that your options are limited. Breakfast burritos are pretty much the only thing they have, right? Not according to Taco Bell.

On March 27, Taco Bell blew the food connoisseur community’s mind by being the first Mexican fast food restaurant to offer breakfast. And their breakfast wasn’t just breakfast burritos. It had a wide variety of delicious breakfast foods, all coming at you hot and ready. Ready for what you might ask? It comes at you ready to take your tastebuds on a roller coaster ride unlike anything you’ve experienced before.

When I went to experience Taco Bell breakfast on that beautiful Thursday morning, I had high expectations. After all, Taco Bell is the best fast food restaurant in the country, in my humble opinion. My expectations were met, and possibly even exceeded. The legendary waffle taco, was only a little bit above average (make sure you put syrup on it), but the real showstopper was the A.M. Crunchwrap. The A.M. Crunchwrap was like a typical crunchwrap, but instead of a hard shelled tortilla in the middle, it is a delicious golden brown hashbrown, surrounded by eggs, cheese, bacon, and a special sauce that ties it all together. You could also do sausage or steak instead of bacon inside the A.M. Crunchwrap, which would have been equally delicious.

Overall, Taco Bell’s breakfast debut was amazing. They brought a whole new element to the fast food game, and hopefully they will keep surprising us with new things.
