The boys and girls varsity teams played their last game of their seasons on Tuesday.

The girls team played first, struggling throughout the game. KCC scored 10 points total, while the opponent, undefeated Council Grove, scored 61.

“It was really frustrating to lose, but the team we played was phenomenal,” freshman starter Callie Eldred said. “We played hard, had fun and enjoyed the last game with the seniors.”

The boys team had an amazing first half, holding onto a four point lead against Council Grove at half-time. During the second half, the team was simply out played, and ended up losing 53 to 38.

“We played really well in the first half, probably the best we’ve played all season,” junior starter Luke Streeter said. “I think we just got tired and started to make some turnovers and gave up the lead.”

The girls varsity final record was 4-17, and the boys record was 5-16.
